My name is Javier Hernandez Rivera and I was born in 1983 in Spain. I grew up in Barcelona and moved to America in 2006 to pursue my professional and personal dreams.

Currently, I am a Ph.D. student in the Media Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and my research is mainly focused on the automatic analysis and recognition of affective states of people, leveraging techniques from Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Human Computer Interaction and Psychophysiology.
